DANA’s Excellence Academy is the resource to build up nonprofit leaders and organizations – providing individual and group training that helps develop expertise, skills and advocacy for our members throughout the State. The value-added and proprietary services strengthen your organization’s infrastructure and leadership to help deliver on their missions efficiently and effectively. Pairing our highly-trained consultants with your nonprofit and ensuring a good fit is a high priority. Our services break down into three distinct categories:

In addition, DANA’s Excellence Academy offers nonprofits a customized board retreat with expert facilitators who guide the leadership in exploring the “big issues” confronting your organization and how to move forward more successfully.
DANA’s Excellence Academy offers an annual set of training workshops based on the organizational best practices embodied in the guiding principles of the Standards for Excellence Institute, of which DANA is a replication partner. We not only focus on WHAT one can do to improve leadership and effectiveness, but more importantly the HOW.

We conduct follow-up surveys and diagnostic assessments on our training workshops and seminars using survey tools like QuestionPro, which is available to nonprofits at no charge.
The DANA 2019 Board Chair & Executive Director Seminar is designed to equip nonprofit CEOs and Board Chairs to lead more effectively through a more powerful collaborative relationship, and to identify and address the changes needed for sustainability and growth. The Fellowship provides a framework for leaders which is adaptive to all organizational conditions of growth and changes The Seminar draws extensively from current nationally recognized leader best practices and the Standards for Excellence Program.
CEOs and Board Chairs from up to ten Delaware nonprofits are selected to participate in the Seminar each year.
