Can you imagine not being able to read well enough to function in your daily life? What if you couldn’t read at all? Literacy Delaware is on a mission to empower all Delawareans to become literate through training, tutoring, English language acquisition and advocacy.
The nonprofit assists adult learners to realize their potential as confident, self-sufficient, and productive employees, supportive parents, and engaged community members. Operations Coordinator Leslie McGowan talks about the work of this important organization to assist English language learners among others.
