Wilmington, DE – The Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) (delawarenonprofit.org) is pleased to announce that Mr. Howard Keener has joined their team effective December 5, 2016.

In this new role, Mr. Keener will help to improve member communications, build new partnerships and to strengthen relationships with nonprofit organizations throughout Delaware. He will manage special events to bring the sector together, messaging, social media engagement and media relations.

Sheila Bravo, DANA President and CEO, states “We are very excited to welcome Howard to our team at DANA. His experience in communications and member relations will help DANA strengthen and advance Delaware nonprofits and the nonprofit sector.”

Mr. Keener, President of Keener Marketing Communications, has worked with several Delaware nonprofits in a consulting role, and on staff at Blood Bank of Delmarva (BBD) (delmarvablood.org). At BBD, Mr. Keener held directorial level positions in marketing and strategic planning. He also managed BBD’s regional boards and volunteer program throughout Delmarva. Howard has earned a MBA from University of Delaware, and a BS in Business Management from Widener University.
