The Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement will host nonprofit advocates and policymakers at Nonprofit Advocacy Day on March 29, serving as the kickoff for celebrating April as Nonprofit Impact Month.
Participants will honor the impact of their work with policymakers and advocate for stronger nonprofit-government partnership to serve the people of Delaware.
The state’s fiscal 2018 budget reduced grant funding by more than $25 million, including $8.6 million of grant-in-aid dollars. These budget cuts resulted in a reduction in service hours and employee benefits, as well as numerous employee layoffs. Delaware nonprofits continue to provide critical services to improve the lives of Delaware residents and enhance the quality of life in the state.
