Our Mission
Shine A Light On Stroke is a DE based nonprofit starting in 2024 that focuses on a mission to build a better community for stroke survivors and their caregivers. We aim to do this through education, resources, events, and financial support.
Mission Area
Health, Education, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We are a newly formed nonprofit made up of Co-Founders Bridget DiMaio and Bridget Callahan who are a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist. We started this nonprofit out of a love for providing support to the stroke community and their loved ones where we have seen a lack of resources. We would love to build a Board who can provide a skill set outside of our own.
Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, community outreach, or financial oversight is preferred who share enthusiasm with our mission.
Community events we have held include Shine A Light On Stroke 5k and "Tossing out Stroke" Cornhole Tournament. Upcoming events include an Art Gala and Community Health Fair.
