Our Mission
DJ's Alliance seeks to bridge the gap between suicide loss and healing survivors by connecting them with peers and community resources in Delaware.
We are a bereavement-based organization with a focus on postvention, or support after a death by suicide. We do this by pairing new loss survivors with trained peers who have already experienced the grieving process with the goal of continued connection for at least two years. We also do a lot of community outreach, as well as some prevention work. We work closely with the Delaware Suicide Prevention Coalition and other mental health partners to ensure we stay involved in the suicide prevention/postvention space. We are a diverse board in both experiences and demographics which helps us maintain an open mind in our programming.
