Board Meeting Details
Our board meets on weekday evenings in the New Castle County area (zoom options for Kent and Sussex members)
Our committees meet at the same time.
We are a large board with more than ten people and more than three active committees.
Our board has the following committees: board nominating/board governance, finance/audit, strategic planning, fundraising/development.
We elect our board of directors annually in June.
Board Needs
We are especially interested in candidates with the following skills: Philanthropy/fund development, and board governance
Number of board openings: multiple.
We are not seeking to fill a specific officer position.
Our board requires an annual financial contribution from members.
Our board asks our members to participate in fundraising: help with asking, help with planning and prospecting.
More About Our Organization
Jewish Family Services of Delaware (JFS) is a place where all members of our community can receive help and support to overcome life’s challenges and cope with difficult situations. JFS is committed to providing the highest quality services available in our area, with compassion and respect for everyone. We are state-wide, and offer services including mental health counseling, with special programs for maternal mental health and youth anxiety. We provide refugee resettlement, support services for older adults and families in need, and cancer care support. Having recently completed a comprehensive strategic plan, JFS is enthusiastic about continuing high quality, critical care in our 125th year.
