Wilmington, Del.—The Kids to Kids Foundation of Delaware announces a new board chairperson.

Scott Burris, vice president of human resources Capital One, of Wilmington, will serve as an officer and chairperson on the foundation’s board. Burris has served in several capacities at Capital One since 2006, gaining extensive experience in training seminars, talent management, and credit consulting and counseling. He holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Boston University.

“Scott not only has an expanse of business knowledge to share with the foundation but also brings kindness and a commitment for quality children’s services to the organization,” said President and Founder Caroline Jones.  “We are delighted to have him as the board’s chairperson.”

Kids to Kids Foundation is in its seventh year of service to Delaware’s vulnerable children, particularly those in foster care who have experienced trauma in unstable homes, and children afflicted by poverty. The organization has had much success through its many programs, offering skills, comfort and guidance to children of all ages and providing opportunities that young victims of abuse usually don’t have. By offering love and hope, Kind to Kids has touched the lives of 12,500 children in Delaware, helping them to acquire the skills they need to be happy, productive adults.

“Kids to Kids looks forward to Scott’s leadership in the organization and to its future growth with him at the helm,” Jones said.
