She holds a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, a BA from Rutgers College, and a Diversity & Inclusion for HR Certificate from Cornell University.

Chanta describes herself as optimistic – and that’s something that shines through in her personality. She’s grateful that her ability to be of service to the organizations that are doing much needed, transformative work our communities.

In her spare time, Chanta enjoys spending time with her family, getting lost in a good book, dancing to good music, hanging out with her puppy and enjoying phone calls with close friends and her mother. Her inspiration comes from her Grandmother Elsie Howard and Great-Grandmothers Ella Williams and Ella Howard. Although she never had the opportunity to meet her Great Grandmothers, she feels their influence and presence in every aspect of her life and work.

Given the opportunity to follow anyone around for the day, her answer was Oprah Winfrey. “She is a dynamic woman, business leader, philanthropist, book lover and ICON who has created a platform for so many individuals to share their stories, their art and/or their visions. If she happened to invite Michelle Obama over for lunch or tea that would make for an even more dynamic experience as I would love an opportunity to follow her as well.” That’s a table we’d like to be invited too.
