Chai leads policy campaigns for Nonprofit New York’s 1,100 members. Previously, he was as a Senior Policy Analyst in the Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget, led the City’s indirect cost rate reform policy, nonprofit model budget process, and worked for nonprofits with government contracts. He is a CUNY Law School 4L evening student and a graduate of NYU Wagner’s School of Public Service. He has authored publications for NYU Wagner on improving New York City’s nonprofit contracting process.
